The 36th annual Deutsch Country Days — German Living History Festival was held Oct. 21-22 at Luxenhaus Farm, 18055 State Highway O in Marthasville.More than 50 artisans wearing period costumes demonstrated early 1700s to 1850s German life in Missouri. Guests learned about the heritage by watching and doing.Exhibitors and guests took part in soap and candle making, tomahawk throwing, blacksmithing, historic literature, story telling and more. In addition to early American life, visitors learned about the 1700s Osage Trail and the Osage Native Americans who lived in the area.The farm features 35 reconstructed Missouri log cabins and early structures.Deutsch Country Days — German Living History Festival is held every year.
