Visitation for Russell Brockfeld, longtime state legislator, will be Tuesday, Aug. 12, from noon-8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton.Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 111 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Warrenton City Cemetery.Brockfeld passed away Aug. 3 at his home. He was 87.He served in the Missouri House of Representatives for a series of 10 consecutive terms from 1973 to 1993. The Republican from Warrenton also was minority leader during the 79th and 80th general assemblies, according to The State Historical Society of Missouri. Following his departure from the Legislature, Brockfeld remained active in community and veterans issues. Brockfeld also served in the U.S. Army's Occupational Forces in Japan immediately after World War II.Russell Brockfeld
