AARP tax aide volunteers will be preparing tax returns for senior citizens and low-income residents at the Warrenton Firehouse on Fairgrounds Road every Tuesday beginning Feb. 2 through April 5.Volunteers are trained to prepare simple tax forms. Taxpayers with complex tax returns or instances where the counselor feels they do not have adequate training or knowledge will be advised to seek paid tax assistance.This service is offered free of charge by AARP.For an appointment, call 636-465-1452. Please leave your name and phone number and a call will be returned within the next two to three business days. The firehouse should not be called. For tax questions only, residents should visit the firehouse on Tuesdays from noon-1 p.m.If schools are closed for inclement weather, the tax office will also be closed.Tax Time
