Four Warrenton baseball players were selected to the All-Gateway Athletic Conference North team, the school announced.
Senior pitcher Hunter Capstick, senior outfielder Hunter Russell and senior shortstop Dallas Johnson were first-team selections.
Russell led the team with a .372 batting average and .487 on-base percentage (min. 50 at-bats), and scored 29 runs on 35 hits.
He drove in nine runs and collected three triples, as well.
Johnson led the Warriors with 26 RBIs.
His slugging percentage of .447 was the second-highest mark on the team.
Capstick helped the Warriors at the plate and on the mound.
The senior hurler posted a 2.77 earned-run average in a team-high 60 2/3 innings, and pitched two complete-game shutouts against Fort Zumwalt East and Union.
He pitched six complete games while picking up two saves along the way, and did as much damage with a bat in his hand, as well.
In 92 at-bats, Capstick hit .359 with 20 RBIs, nine doubles and a team-best three home runs.
Senior first baseman Brandon Purkaple was a second-team selection after hitting .287 on the season.
He was second on the team with 21 RBIs, and added seven doubles and one triple.
The four all-conference selections helped lead Warrenton to a 9-18 record this spring, and are part of the group of seven seniors the Warriors will need to replace next season.
