A Wright City man was injured, along with three others in a single-car accident during the late evening of Monday, Aug. 19.
Tiaura Wilkes, 19, of Troy, was the driver, and was traveling east on the Highway 61 Outer Road north of Route C late Monday evening when she failed to negotiate a right turn and lost control of the vehicle off the left side of the roadway, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The vehicle then traveled down the embankment on the side of the road where the front driver’s side crashed into a ditch.
Alysa Wilson, 21, of Hawk Point, and Kyler Jones, 24, of Wright City, both sustained serious injuries.
Abigail Wright, 23, of Hawk Point, and Wilkes were transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis by the Lincoln County Ambulance District, they also transported Wilson to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
Jones was flown by Arch Helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
Wilkes and Jones were wearing seatbelts, Wilson and Wright were not.
