Former Jonesburg resident G.L. Woods’ inspiring journey from being paralyzed to walking again will be featured nationally on the “700 Club” this Friday, July 25. Last month, the “700 Club” filming crew spent a day recording an interview with Woods and his wife Tina at their home in Morgantown, Ind. Both Woods and his wife are graduates of Montgomery County High School. The segment will include details about Woods’ 2004 motocross accident which paralyzed him from the neck down, a similar spinal cord injury suffered by late actor Christopher Reeve. Since then, Woods has had a nearly unheard of recovery that has allowed him to walk once again. Woods now speaks at numerous events, including churches, conferences and colleges throughout the Midwest. The main emphasis of his powerful message is, “God still performs miracles, even when we don’t deserve them.” Woods has released a book and DVD titled “Faith 911” that has been enjoyed by thousands all over the country. “Faith 911” is available at Jonesburg State Bank branches in Warrenton and Jonesburg, as well as on Amazon.  The “700 Club” airs to more than 1 million viewers daily on both TNB and ABC Family channels as well as various local affiliates.
