Gov. Jay Nixon has appointed Eugene Buxton, of Warrenton, as the public administrator for Warren County.The position became available after the resignation of former public administrator Jeffrey Hoelscher, who is now the county treasurer.Buxton, an Independent, served as the Warren County public administrator from 1988 to 2000 and handled more than 200 cases during that time. A Warren County native, he worked at General Motors in St. Louis for 30 years before retiring, and also owned two small businesses in Warren County.“The position of public administrator is one in which citizens must place great trust, and Eugene Buxton served the people of Warren County very capably in this post for 12 years,” Gov. Nixon said. “I am pleased to appoint him to serve in this position again.”Warren County
