A former Montgomery City chiropractor was found guilty last week of sexually assaulting a patient.The alleged incident occurred August 2013 while Cary L. Baney, 46, was working at County Chiropractic.A jury deliberated for less than two hours at the conclusion of the trial Feb. 16. Baney was convicted of felony deviate sexual assault. He is scheduled to be sentenced April 6. He faces up to seven years in prison.In a press release, Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Nathan Carroz said, “I commend the victim in this matter for having the courage to come forward and participate in this process. Because of this courage, the victim helped to protect others in the Montgomery County community. I am also appreciative of the service of the jurors and their commitment to the judicial process. As a result of the efforts of everyone involved in this matter, this man will no longer be able to use his profession to victimize others.”Cary Baney
