Warren County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call for a domestic assault in progress on the evening of March 2. According to the probable cause statement filed by Corporal Michael Pelton, he made contact with the victim, who stated Rebecca Ward, 53, of Foristell, had assaulted him early that morning.
Ward and the victim have been married for four years and currently live together, according to the probable cause statement.
The victim said he was woken up when Ward struck him in the head with his cell phone, causing his forehead to bleed. After he cleaned the wound he left the residence and returned later that day.
He said he returned that afternoon and Ward continued to attack him, pulling at his hair and slamming his head into a couch.
Pelton reported there was a cut on the victim consistent with his story and a blood-stained towel in the bathroom.
Ward has also previously threatened the victim during an incident in Novermber 2024 when she chased him around the residnece with a knife and only stopped when the victim pulled a firearm, according to the probable cause statement.
Ward was charged with two counts of third-degree domestic assault, a felony, and was ordered to be held without bond.
