A Foristell man, 55, sustained moderate injuries in a three-car accident in St. Charles County on the afternoon of June 26, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred when three drivers, the Foristell man, a 41-year-old Wright City man and a 65-year-old Marysville. Ca., man, were traveling east on Interstate 70 east of Route A.
The Wright City man was in front with the Marysville man behind him, both were stopped in traffic. According to the patrol, the Foristell man was inattentive and did not see the congestion ahead.
He struck the rear of the Marysville man’s vehicle, driving him first into, and then around the Wright City man’s vehicle. From there he continued and struck the rear of the Wright City man’s vehicle, according to the patrol. All three vehicles came to rest on the left shoulder of the interstate.
The Foristell man was transported to St. Joseph West Hospital via ambulance. Neither he, nor the Wright City man, were wearing their seat belts in the accident, according to the patrol.
The Wright City and Marysville men did not report any injuries in the accident.
