A Foristell man was charged with domestic assault in the third degree and unlawful use of a weapon following an incident July 11.
According to a probable cause affidavit submitted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Ernie Lee Washburn, 46, Foristell, was alleged to have assaulted his live-in girlfriend by hitting her with brass knuckles on her thigh. The girlfriend said Washburn had been drunk and was screaming racial slurs at her children. She said Washburn came after her son, but she stepped in and Washburn turned his attention to her, hitting her repeatedly. The brass knuckles were found at the scene and seized, according to the affidavit.
A no-bond warrant was issued for Washburn’s arrest Tuesday.
