The National Weather Service in St. Louis has reduced its flood forecast for the Missouri River at Washington to below levels that would threaten to close Highway 47 in Warren County.The weather service on Thursday had predicted the Missouri River could crest at almost 30 feet on Friday or Saturday. Highway 47 on the Warren County side of the river begins flooding when the river is at 29 feet.The flood forecast as of 10:30 a.m. Friday now shows the river cresting at 28.6 feet, just below where it would begin to affect Highway 47. The river is predicted to crest Saturday evening and then drop several feet over the next few days.Highway 94 remains closed as of Friday due to flooding between Highway 47 and Highway U.
