A small utility vehicle owned by the city of Marthasville was burned to a charred frame last week.
Marthasville Fire Chief Jeff Backhaus said firefighters received the call after 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, alerting them to the vehicle fire at Woods Drive and the Katy Trail.
Communications at the time indicated the vehicle was fully involved.
Backhaus said the origin of the fire was difficult to determine because the entire UTV was burned down to the frame. The fire department is not having the cause investigated, he said.
