The Warren County Fine Arts Council has formed a group of “mural mavericks” who will be painting a mural on the side of Deerfield’s on Main during the Warrenton Fall Festival on Sept. 28.The project is a collaboration with local artists to enrich the Warren County community with visual art. Young artists will assist with creating the mural at Deerfield’s and at other locations around the county. These young apprentices will learn to collaborate, work with a team, develop responsible work habits and complete work on a deadline.Applications to participate with the mural mavericks are available from the Warren County Fine Arts Council or on the bulletin board outside Mrs. Busby’s classroom at Warrenton High School, Room 155.Participants should be 16 to 22 years old and residents of Warrenton County. They should have an interest in visual arts and the large scale of the mural project, as well as the ability to take directions and work well with others. For more information, call Fine Arts Council President Jennifer Schipper at 636-255-8182.Warren County Fine Arts Council logo
