Contractor crews will soon shift to the final stage of construction at the Routes E/Y and Interstate 70 interchange in Montgomery County, at Exit 183 in Jonesburg. In addition to completing the bridge, work will begin on the interchange ramps.
Weather permitting, as early as June 15, contractor crews will close the interchange ramps to facilitate construction on both the eastbound and westbound I-70 on and off ramps.

Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists as schedule changes occur. MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media. Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. was awarded the contract last year in the amount of $13.7M. This project is tentatively scheduled to be completed by late summer of 2026.
Included in this contract is an additional bridge rehabilitation project, located on Route A/B over I-70 near Pendleton in Warren County. This project began in the spring of 2025 and was completed last fall.
