Ada Ferrell was the star of the show on Monday, and she made her time in the spotlight count.

The Wright City junior scored a quartet of goals in leading the Wildcats to the 4-0 win at Owensville.

Finding the net four times not only led the team on Monday, but it put her at the top of the team’s goal-scoring pyramid as her tallies now give her 11 for the season.

Freshman Haley Elsenrath (10 goals), from whom Ferrell wrestled the goal-scoring lead, added a trio of assists, while senior Sandy Lopez-Luna added one.

Junior Marli Burkhardt earned the shutout win in goal as she made eight saves.

Wright City (6-3) will next take to the pitch at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Warren County rival Warrenton. In its final game before facing Wright City, Warrenton lost 2-0 at Elsberry/Silex on Monday.
