Both Ada Ferrell and the Wright City girls’ soccer team had big days on Tuesday.

The Wildcats junior forward scored five times and added a pair of assists as she and her teammates rolled to the 8-0 win over Valley Park on the road.

Wright City Coach Tori Harris said that Ferrell’s 13 goals over the last four games, which now give her a team-high 20, are a testament to her work.

“Ada has been on fire,” Harris said. “She has found her confidence on the ball, especially with finishing. She continues to show up each and every day. I'm excited to see what the rest of the season brings from her.”

In addition to Ferrell, Wright City (8-4) got three goals and an assist from freshman Haley Elsenrath. She now has 14 goals and 15 assists this season for Wright City.

Junior midfielder Juliana Lopez-Luna, senior midfielder Sandy Lopez-Luna, senior midfielder Kaitlyn Mikus and freshman midfielder Caitlin Williams each provided assists in the win.

Junior Marli Burkhardt made six saves in goal to earn the victory.

The Wildcats will host Brentwood (10-0) at 4:30 p.m. today.
