A female inmate in the Warren County jail was charged recently with assault in the third degree for an altercation that occurred July 5 at 8:48 p.m.
According to a probable cause affidavit submitted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Monika Matecki, 31, St. Louis, was engaged in a verbal altercation with another inmate when she pushed the other inmate in the face which resulted in a physical altercation between the two inmates. The deputy who filed the report said he observed the other inmate to have a swollen right eye and small bruise on her right arm.
