Felony charges have recently been filed in connection with several Warren County driving while intoxicated cases and incidents when suspects allegedly left the scene of accidents earlier this year and last year.
Hernandez Rodriguez, of Wright City, was charged Oct. 13 with felony leaving the scene of an accident and misdemeanor driving without a license in connection with a June 25 incident. Rodriguez allegedly struck another vehicle on Interstate 70 at the 200.6 mile marker in Wright City, causing $3,631 of damage, and failed to stop. When later contacted by police, Rodriguez allegedly provided a Mexico identification card and said he didn’t stop because he did not have a driver’s license.
Hunter Boden, of Warrenton, was charged Oct. 9 with felony leaving the scene of an accident. On June 3, Boden allegedly failed to stop after being involved in a crash on I-70 near the 201 mile marker. The damage to the other driver’s vehicle exceeded $1,000, according to a probable cause statement.
Gerald Monks, of Troy, was charged Oct. 5 with felony leaving the scene of an accident and felony driving while suspended or revoked. He was arrested Oct. 9. On Aug. 8, Monks allegedly left the scene of a crash at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Stracks Church Road after causing more than $750 worth of damage to the other driver’s vehicle.
“Monks was later found by Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at a bar down there,” according to a probable cause statement. Monks allegedly told deputies that a vehicle ran a stop sign at the intersection, but he did not think he had hit them.
