A previously convicted felon is wanted by Warrenton police for an assault with a pipe in May.Brian J. Kennedy, 35, Warrenton, has been charged with second-degree assault, a felony. He has previous felony convictions for drug charges and damaging jail property, according to online court records.A Warrenton police report states Kennedy is believed to have attacked a person May 14 at a home on Golden Vicary Drive. Police responding to the report of assault said the victim was bleeding heavily from his left arm, which was also swollen and bruising.The victim told police he was outside his residence when Kennedy arrived and stepped out of a vehicle armed with a pipe. Kennedy allegedly was there to confront the victim, a male, about marital issues with Kennedy’s estranged wife.Police allege Kennedy attacked the victim with the pipe, striking him several times in the left arm. The victim was later transported to the hospital for treatment.Two witnesses corroborated the victim’s description of the events, police said. When contacted by officers, Kennedy allegedly admitted to being involved in a physical altercation with the victim.Local crime notes
