A Warrenton father was taken into custody Sept. 3 for allegedly punching his 16-year-old son in the face during an argument that occurred a few days earlier.Prosecutors charged Matthew J. Dunn, 50, of the 500 block of South Highway 47, with felony child abuse stemming from the alleged incident. A $10,000 bond has been set.Warrenton police reported they responded to Casey’s General Store around 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 29. The male victim told officers he was fighting with his younger brother and his father threw a soda bottle at him and struck him in the face multiple times, authorities said.The victim had a small laceration above his left eyebrow, red marks on his forehead and blood under his bottom lip which appeared to have originated from his mouth, according to the probable cause statement.Matt Dunn
