The Warren County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal shooting in which a woman shot her husband Thursday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:52 p.m. at a home in the 29000 block of Old Cotton Road, located between Wright City and Foristell.
Sheriff Kevin Harrison said the 27-year-old woman called 911 to report she had been involved in a physical altercation with her 30-year-old husband and that she had shot him in the chest.
Upon arrival at the home, deputies located the husband dead on the living room floor, apparently from multiple gunshot wounds.
The wife was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Two minor children in the home were transported to a family member, Harrison reported.
No further details about the shooting are being released at this time, Harrison said.
