A 45-year-old Warrenton man was killed when the car he was driving crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle on South Highway 47 south of Chantilly Court on Monday, Dec. 7., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Albert T. Zykan was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital West. He was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, pictured above, northbound when it struck a south 2006 Chevrolet Uplander. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 72-year-old Joan Lansford of Warrenton, was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. The accident occurred around 4:16 p.m. The Patrol said neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
