North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) President and Chief Executive Officer Don Patrick has announced the hiring of Tina Fairall, of St. Charles, as the agency’s Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) coordinator for St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties.NECAC is a 12-county area not-for-profit social service, community health and public housing Community Action Agency. NECAC contracts with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for profit organizations to operate and administer self-sufficiency service programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population.The agency’s Central Administration Offices are located in Bowling Green, with NECAC service centers operated in each county.In her new job, Fairall will oversee operations and administration of the FGP program, which places more than 40 senior citizens from the tri-county area in schools and daycare centers to serve as mentors for kids with special needs.“We welcome Tina to the NECAC team,” Patrick said. “She will be a great benefit to this program and will help ensure that more children can be served.”“I like working at NECAC because it gives me a chance to work with the elderly and with children,” Fairall said.Fairall previously worked with the elderly at Villa Theresa, a care center in O’Fallon that’s part of the Village of St. Mary’s home for the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood.Fairall has six children and one grandchild, and is a member of New Life Christian Church in O’Fallon.NECAC Foster Grandparent Program members volunteer 15 to 40 hours per week and must pass a Missouri State Child Abuse and Neglect Screening. In addition to working with children, participants get the benefit of paid insurance, transportation reimbursement and an annual recognition luncheon.Fairall’s office is located in the NECAC St. Charles County Service Center at 3400 Meadow Pointe Drive in O’Fallon, with satellite operations in the NECAC Lincoln County service center at 11 Woodcrest Drive in Troy and the NECAC Warren County service center at 120 E.
