A vehicle that had expired registration tags led to the discovery of drugs in a Wright City traffic stop.
Shannon Mishay Stone, of Montgomery City, was charged Sept. 19 with felony drug possession and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. According to the probable cause statement, a traffic stop was initiated July 23 and contact was made with Stone, who was a passenger in the vehicle. During a search, a glass smoking pipe was located inside an open package addressed to Stone, police said, and three bags containing methamphetamine were seized.
Stone is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 22.
