Ethel Lou Baxter, 81, Warrenton, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. She was born in Foley, Mo., on May 15, 1938, to Obadiah DePue Argent and Bernadine Ethel (Crenshaw). She was a member of the Pentecostals of Warrenton, Mo.
Ethel Lou Baxter was united in marriage to Bob Baxter on June 29, 1957. To this union, three children were born. She loved her family dearly. Ethel Lou enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved her pets. Ethel Lou enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She was very involved in her church and loved to spend time with her church family. She loved the Lord with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Obadiah and Bernadine; great-grandchild, Dorothy Raylin Pickett. She is survived by her children, Reggie (Debby) Baxter, of Warrenton, Leah Baxter, of Austin, Texas, and Dave Baxter (fiancé Teri Belker), of Warrenton; sister, Betty Tayon, of O'Fallon; grandchildren, Charity (Damion) Frederick, Jarrod (Billie) Baxter, Ben Pickett, and Sarah Pickett; eight great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Ethel Lou Baxter will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton, 5-8 p.m.
A private committal service will be held at Bellflower Cemetery in Bellflower, Mo.
