Steve Etcher, executive director of the Boonslick Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) since 1992, is stepping down. Etcher has accepted a position with Community Edge, a St. Charles based economic development consulting firm. He said making the decision to leave the BRPC was "incredibly difficult. "I've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this organization and I've worked with some fantastic communities," Etcher remarked. "The opportunity to work with (those communities) in a similar capacity made this decision possible." Etcher's last day with the BRPC will be July 31. Chuck Eichmeyer, BRPC program coordinator, will serve as executive director on an interim basis while the search for a full-time replacement is conducted, Etcher said.
