EPC, Inc., one of the largest professional recycler and IT asset management firms in the nation, will open a processing center in Wright City.
The company will construct an approximate 104,000-square-foot facility at the southeast corner of South Stringtown Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway, adjacent to the Gateway Industrial Centre, according to an announcement Tuesday by the Greater Warren County Economic Development Council.
Headquartered in St. Charles with several locations through the United States, the company is currently leasing space in Earth City and will relocate its “e-scrap processing center” to Wright City, according to a news release.
Construction on the new facility is expected to be complete in mid-2016. EPC intends to employ 70 people at the Wright City location immediately, according to the release. Many of the Earth City employees are expected to transfer to the new location, but the company plans to hire an additional 20 employees from the local market over the next three years, officials announced.
EPC provides IT asset recover, computer recycling, data destruction and hard drive shredding services to businesses in the United States and Canada. EPC also sells computers, notebooks, and more to wholesale and retail customers.
