Emmaus Homes will host a hiring event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at the Scenic Regional Library Warrenton Branch, 912 Highway 47 in Warrenton.The nonprofit has 30 open positions. Job openings are primarily for direct support professionals who provide training, coaching and assistance for adults with developmental disabilities.By incorporating activities to meet unique goals and needs, direct support professionals are essential in helping people with disabilities lead full and independent lives.Openings include homes in local communities such as Warrenton, Truesdale, Wright City, Wentzville, Marthasville and Lake Saint Louis.Applicants are encouraged to pre-apply at www.emmauscareers.org.On April 6, Emmaus will conduct onsite interviews. Current team members will be available to answer questions, provide insight about positions and give stories about how they are making the difference in lives of adults with developmental disabilities.Emmaus Homes is a nonprofit organization providing around-the-clock services to more than 275 adults with developmental disabilities. It was founded in 1893 to enhance the quality of life for individuals with cognitive, intellectual and other developmental disabilities.Emmaus employs more than 700 people and continues to grow. For every dollar of care Emmaus provides, government funding covers only 92 cents.
