One week remains for citizens to sign up to run for public office in their local communities. The deadline to get names on the ballot for municipal elections in April is Tuesday, Jan. 16.Here are the open positions in each political district, along with the people who have filed for the election so far.WarrentonEach of Warrenton’s three wards has a two-year board of aldermen seat up for election. Ward 1 has an additional seat up for a one-year term.Incumbents Mike Shilharvey, Ward 1; Scott Schulze, Ward 2; and Bob Delaloye, Ward 3, have filed to keep their positions on the board. Newcomer Tom Boos has filed to run against Shilharvey in Ward 1.Incumbent Greg Costello has filed to keep his position for the one-year Ward 1 seat.Candidates may file with the city clerk at Warrenton City Hall, 200 W. Booneslick Road.Wright CityThe Wright City mayor’s position is up for election, along with two-year seats for both the city’s wards on the board of aldermen. Ward 1 also has an additional seat up for a one-year term.Mayor Dan Rowden has filed for re-election. So have Aldermen Tom Dixon, Ward 2, and Kerry Lambright for the Ward 1 one-year term.Former alderman Jim Toothman has filed to run against Tom Dixon in Ward 2, and newcomer Dwayne J. Paul will run for the one-year Ward 1 seat currently held by Lambright.No one has filed for the two-year Ward 1 seat currently held by John O’Conner.Candidates may file at Wright City Hall, 203 Veterans Memorial Parkway.TruesdaleA one-year term in the mayor’s office and two seats on the board of aldermen for two-year terms are up for election this year.Mayor Chris Watson and incumbent aldermen Shalene Blackwood and Mike Thomas have all filed for re-election. No other candidates have filed so far.Candidates may file at Truesdale City Hall, 109 Pinckney St.MarthasvilleOne alderman for each of Marthasville’s two wards will be elected for two-year terms.Eugene Jenkins remains the sole candidate to file for election thus far, running for the West Ward position currently held by Christopher DeVore.No one has yet filed for the East Ward seat held by Nick Lange.Candidates may file at Marthasville City Hall, 402 E. Main St.InnsbrookCurrent Trustees Tom Stevener and Ted Sator are the only candidates to file so far for two positions on the Innsbrook Board of Trustees.Candidates may file at the Innsbrook Village Hall, 1835 Highway F.ForistellThe Foristell Board of Aldermen has two-year seats for both its wards up for election, as well as an additional one-year seat for Ward 2.Incumbent Ward 1 Alderman Mark Meyerhoff has filed to retain his position. Newcomer William Huth has filed for the two-year Ward 2 seat.Ward 2 incumbent John Pickering has filed to run for the one-year term.Candidates may file at Foristell City Hall, 121 Mulberry St.Warren County R-III School BoardTwo seats on the board of education are available for three-year terms. Incumbents John Clinger and Dr. Chad Smith have both filed to remain on the board.Candidates may file at the superintendent’s office, 385 W. Veterans Memorial Parkway, Warrenton.Wright City R-II School BoardThere are two seats on the Wright City Board of Education up for election, each with a three-year term. David Mikus and Erin Williams, the two incumbents, have filed for re-election.Candidates may file at the school district’s central office, 90 Bell Road, Wright City.Washington School District BoardThe Washington School District has two board of education seats with three-year terms on the April ballot. The incumbents, Kevin Blackburn and John Freitag, are the sole candidates to file for the election so far.Candidates may file at the district administration building, 220 Locust St., Washington.Wright City Fire Protection DistrictThe district’s board of directors has four seats open for election. Two seats have six-year terms, two seats have four-year terms.Incumbents Rudy Jovanovic and Mike Gantner are running for the two six-year seats.Retired firefighter Phil Keim has added his name to the ballot for a four-year seat, joining Justin Fears, who owns Phobius Haunted House.Candidates may file at the district headquarters, 396 W. Second St. North, Wright City.Warren County Ambulance DistrictOn the board of directors, three-year seats for Subdistrict 2 and Subdistrict 5 are on the ballot.Current Subdistrict 2 incumbent Bill Ehlenbeck has filed for re-election. Charles “Jack” Dempsey has filed as a candidate for the Subdistrict 5 seat currently held by Bob Linke.Interested candidates should contact the district administrator at 636-456-8413 ext. 5.Marthasville Community Ambulance DistrictSubdistrict 2 and Subdistrict 5 ambulance district board seats are up for election to three-year terms.No one has yet filed for the Subdistrict 2 seat held by Lynne Schroeder. Subdistrict 5 incumbent Arlie Berg has filed to retain his position.Candidates may file at the Warren County Clerk’s office, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Warrenton.Warren County Emergency Services (911)Four-year board of director terms for Northern District, Southern District, and an at-large seat will be elected this year.Southern District incumbent Jon Struckoff has filed to retain his seat. No candidates have yet filed for the other positions, currently served by Jeanne Deutch for the Northern District, and Ralph Hellebusch in the at-large seat.Candidates may file at the Warren County Communications office, 209 Highway U, Warrenton.Election filing
