At least three big community Easter events will entertain families on the morning of Saturday, March 27. Warrenton and Wright City are replacing their normally jam-packed Easter egg hunts with vehicle events, while the annual hunt in Marthasville is taking place in a spread out area.
• In Warrenton, the city government is hosting an “EGGstravaganza CARnival” in the Warrenton Aquatic Center parking lot. The event is a drive-thru experience with games, activities and entertainment that can all be enjoyed from the car. Families interested in participating are asked to register for a time between 10-11:45 a.m. on March 27 in order to avoid a long line of cars.
Registration information can be found by clicking on the EGGstravaganza posting on the city of Warrenton website, warrenton-mo.org. For more information, call 636-456-2288. Masks are required to participate in the event.
• In Wright City, the Parks Department is organizing an Easter Bunny parade to deliver goodies to children and families. The parade route will be on the north side of town, starting at Wright City Middle School and ending at the high school.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. March 27.
Anyone who wants to participate in the parade should register ahead of time by calling 636-745-2804 or emailing parks@wrightcity.org.
• In Marthasville, the Chamber of Commerce will host its Easter egg hunt at the Marthasville Community Club to allow for social distancing. The egg hunt is for children ages 0 to 10, and families should bring their own baskets.
The egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. March 27. Masks are encouraged.
