An East St. Louis man is accused of having sex with a Warren County teen he knew was underage, authorities reported.Prosecutors last week charged Gregory Cook, 22, with two felony counts for second-degree statutory rape and second-degree statutory sodomy. An arrest warrant was issued Aug. 26. His bond was set at $20,000.The sexual contact allegedly occurred around Sept. 9, 2014, in a home on Fort Hancock in Wright City. Cook was 21 at the time police said. The female victim was 15.An FBI agent contacted a Wright City detective in October 2014 about the allegations. When Cook was interviewed by an Illinois State Police trooper, he admitted to having sex with the girl, according to the probable cause statement. The victim confirmed in a subsequent interview with a representative from the Child’s Advocacy Center that the incident occurred. She allegedly advised Cook about her age prior to them having sex.Crime
