The East Central Drug Task Force arrested 50 suspects and served 27 search warrants during the first quarter of 2015.Warren County Sheriff Kevin Harrison released the activity report for the task force covering the first quarter, which began Jan. 1 and ended March 31.Officers reported the following amounts of drug seizures: cocaine, 10.5 grams; methamphetamine, 489.20 grams; heroin, 4.1 grams; marijuana, 12,159 grams; anhydrous ammonia, 20 pounds; synthetic drugs (cathinones/cannabinoids), 10.5 grams; and prescription drugs/pills, 41 units.The task force also seized three firearms and disassembled four meth labs during the first quarter.The task force is a multijurisdictional force that serves Warren, Audrain, Cooper, Howard, Montgomery and Pike counties. Local agencies that are members are the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and the Warrenton Police Department.The task force is under the direction of the participating law enforcement agencies, with the daily operation supervised by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.The task force focuses their efforts on drug enforcement by conducting both covert and overt narcotics investigations in the counties and cities they serve.Drug task force releases first quarter results
