A Lincoln County man arrested outside Wright City last year is facing a major felony charge for his alleged sixth offense of driving while intoxicated.
Larry J. Coke, 59, of Moscow Mills, was arrested after crashing a motorbike on Highway J in May 2019, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol report submitted to Warren County prosecutors this month.
The highway patrol said Coke drove off the side of the road and crashed about a mile north of the North Outer Road. When an officer arrived, Coke reportedly admitted that he did not have a driver license. The highway patrol said Coke’s license had been revoked.
While speaking to an officer and conducting field sobriety tests, Coke displayed clear signs of impairment, the highway patrol said. He allegedly smelled strongly of alcohol, had slurred speech and was swaying.
A breath test indicated Coke’s blood alcohol content was 0.149 percent.
The highway patrol said Coke was convicted three times in the late 1980s for driving while intoxicated, and was convicted again in 2005 and 2010.
