A pickup truck driven by a Wright City man crashed into an occupied mobile home in Lincoln County Sunday.
Gary L. Mattert, 54, was driving a Dodge Ram southbound on Highway J, north of Renaes Lane, at 10:55 p.m. when the truck failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol preliminary report. Mattert reportedly overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the left side of the road. The truck continued forward until it “impacted an occupied mobile home,” according to the patrol.
There were no injuries involving anyone inside the mobile home.
Mattert and a passenger, James H. Logan, 60, Wright City, both had moderate injuries. They were taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis by Lincoln County Ambulance. Neither man was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
