A woman from Wright City was hurt in a car crash Wednesday night when she swerved to avoid a tractor trailer merging on Interstate 70.
Lisa Hasten, 55, was eastbound on I-70 when she passed the Wright City Elm Street interchange around 5:50 p.m. According to a Missouri Highway Patrol preliminary report, Hasten was in the right lane and swerved left to avoid the truck merging into her lane.
Hasten’s Dodge Stratus traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck the median cable barrier and overturned. She had moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Warren County Ambulance. Hasten was wearing a seat belt during the crash.
