Students in the junior and senior classes witnessed emergency officials resspond to a two-vehicle crash that involved four occupants, including one that was pronounced "dead" at the scene. Students were reminded about the need to wear seat belts as area schools enter the prom and graduation season. "Seat belts do play an extremely important part in saving someone's life," said Ralph Hellenbusch, Warren County Ambulance District administrator. "The last thing we want to do is approach your parents after a motor vehicle accident and tell them you didn't survive." Warrenton and Wright City high schools will each be hosting proms this Saturday. Graduation for both schools is Sunday, May 17. Participating in last week's mock crash were the Wright City Fire Protection District, Lincoln County Fire Protection District, Wright City Police Department, Warren County Sheriff's Department, Warren County Ambulance District, A and A Towing Services, ARCH Helicopter, Pitman Funeral Home and Coroner Roger Mauzy.
