To The Editor,The importance of having a regional technical center in Warren County is that it is beneficial to all of those individuals that want to further their education, improve their skills, and increase their earning potential — whether adults or recent graduates. Having taught in Warren County for 40 years I have seen us passed by for many opportunities. Let’s not pass up on this incredible opportunity. We have a large number of students that are in the A+ program where they work hard during the year to help other student through tutoring, keep up their grades, and attend school every day. They are then awarded with tuition-free post-secondary schooling at a junior college. That is usually St. Charles Community College. How wonderful would it be if they could attend college locally and save on their tuition and their transportation costs? The best part about this opportunity for the students and taxpayers in Warren County is that all the money from this proposition will stay in Warren County. How can we pass up this wonderful opportunity for our community and our kids?Sue WrightWright City
