The Pauldingville Lodge Charitable Foundation in Wright City will host its annual Golf Tournament Saturday, Sept. 10, at Warrenton Golf Course, 24805 Highway 47.Local businesses and individuals can sponsor a hole for $100.The four-person scramble is one of two major events the organization hosts to raise money for local needs.The organization has helped Operation Backpack, Jordan’s Place and Shriners and St. Jude hospitals. Its primary recipient is Turning Point Shelter, which serves abused women and their children.The Pauldingville Lodge Charitable Foundation has provided a $25,000 addition to the shelter including a new laundry room with a washer and dryer and a bathing area.The foundation also provides scholarships for students at Wright City and Warrenton high schools.Terry Fleetwood, president, oversees the annual golf tournament.The cost is $80 per player and includes a cart, all drinks, a lunch and a barbecue dinner. The event also includes three hole-in-one contests with a top prize of $100,000, prizes for flights, closest to the pin, longest drive and skins. There also will be a silent auction and raffle.The Pauldingville Lodge Charitable Foundation is open to anyone in the community.To play golf, sponsor a hole, or give time, cash or a raffle item to the foundation, call Fleetwood at 314-267-4192.The original May 8, 1852, charter for the Pauldingville Lodge in Wright City remains in effect with the Grand Lodge of Missouri.As part of the Freemasons, the group is closely related to the Shiners’, Scottish and York Rites, DeMolay, Job’s Daughters and the Eastern Star, who together, donate more than $525 million annually to select charities.Golf Tournament
