Donald Eugene Healy

Mr. Donald Eugene Healy, of Warrenton, passed away on Sunday, January 7, at his home. He was born on October 27, 1927 in Lutesville, to the late John and Holly (nee: Eaker) Healy. Don had reached the age of 96 years.

Don served our country in the United States Army from 1945-1947. After returning from the military, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Bakula on May 24, 1952 in Clayton. They spent 65 wonderful years together before her passing in 2017. This union was blessed with two daughters, Kelly and Donna. Don was very active in his community, having volunteered in many area. He was an active volunteer with the PPRT Children's Division and for the Victim's Advocate. He was also voted Warren County Volunteer of the Year. Don was also active in the Lakeview Community. He participated in the Men's Club, Golf Club and the Bowling Club, all while living at Lakeview. Don was a giving and loving man, always fighting for the underdog., He loved his family and enjoyed caring for each of them.

Don Healy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Jane; his parents, John and Holly Healy; two daughters, Kelly Healy and Donna Bedsworth; one sister, Ruby Evans; one granddaughter, Tiffany Bedsworth; son in law, Ron Bedsworth. He is survived by his sister, Janet Worstell; two granddaughters, Laura Bedsworth and Deserae Bedsworth; three great grandchildren, Ronnie, Alex and Logan.

The family of Donald Healy will host a Celebration of his life with a visitation held at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton on Tuesday, January 16,  from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M. We will then honor him with a service beginning at 12 P.M., also at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the Alzheimer's Association or to the American Cancer Society c/o Martin Funeral Home.
