Donald Anthony Heggemann, age 59, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Monday, October 23. He was born in Washington, Missouri, the son of Andrew and Eleanor (Glastetter) Heggemann, on September 20, 1964.
Donald has a twin brother Ronald and grew up in Warrenton. He graduated from Warren County R-III High School in 1982 and moved to Chicago in 1984. He loved the big city life. He was most recently employed by Northeastern Illinois University in the Art + Design Department as an office administrator. He enjoyed making ceramics so this was his perfect job.
Don is survived by his sisters Nancy (David) Butner of Fulton and Linda (Dan) Jordan of Wright
City and his brothers Paul (Lisa) Heggemann of Jonesburg and Ronald (Melinda) Heggemann of Innsbrook. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a large extended family. He also had many, many friends in the Chicago area.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Eleanor Heggemann and an infant sister Carol Lynn.
There will be a memorial service in Chicago at Lakeview Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 15, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Another service will be held in Warrenton, Missouri at Martin Funeral Home on Monday, November 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Warrenton. Memorials may be made to Northeastern Illinois University Art + Design Department.
