Dollar General has received the green light to build a bigger store in Warrenton.The general store chain will start construction on a 9,100-square-foot building on Highway 47 this spring, to be completed later this year. The new location will be on the west side of the highway at Flora Avenue, near A Moment of Grace Florist and Jonesburg State Bank.Warrenton Dollar General store manager Corie Drullinger said the new store will be significantly bigger than the current location, which is in a shopping center on East Main Street. The new building will be the same size as the Dollar General store in Jonesburg, she said.Dollar General got the Warrenton Board of Aldermen’s approval for the construction Dec. 19.Business Bits
