The postseason is here for the Warrenton and Wright City basketball teams.
The girls and boys basketball programs for both schools will be competing in districts, with Wright City playing in the opening round Saturday and Warrenton following on Tuesday.
The Wright City boys were seeded fifth in the Class 4, District 6 Tournament and will play at Orchard Farm at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.
The Wildcats need a win to advance to the semifinals where No. 1 Winfield awaits on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
In the bottom half of the bracket, No. 2 Lutheran St. Charles and No. 3 Hermann play Saturday, with the winner advancing to the district title game at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 5.
The Wright City girls are the sixth seed and play at No. 3 Hermann on Saturday at 5 p.m.
With a win, the Wildcats would face No. 2 Borgia on the road at 6 p.m. Monday.
In the top half of the bracket, No. 3 Orchard Farm and No. 4 Winfield square off Saturday. The winner will face No. 1 Lutheran St. Charles on Monday.
The title game is scheduled for Thursday, March 4, at 6 p.m.
Meanwhile, both the Warrenton boys and girls teams were seeded fourth in the Class 5, District 8 Tournament scheduled to tip off next Tuesday, March 2.
The Warrenton boys face top seed St. Dominic on the road at 6 p.m.
The winner will square off against either No. 2 Fort Zumwalt South or No. 3 Fort Zumwalt East in the championship game slated for Friday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m.
In the girls bracket, the Warriors are pitted against No. 1 Fort Zumwalt South at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 2. The winner will face either No. 2 Zumwalt East or No. 3 St. Dominic in the title game on Friday at 5 p.m.
