A Warren County man is facing a domestic assault charge after a dispute over what his girlfriend cooked for dinner.Wayne T. Shramek, 53, was arrested Jan. 2. The alleged assault was reported the day before, at Shramek’s home on the 26000 block of Pendleton Lost Creek Road.A female at the residence called law enforcement around 7:30 p.m. to report that an argument about what she cooked for dinner had turned physical. Law enforcement officers observed bruising and red marks on her chest and red handprints around her neck, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.Shramek allegedly stated he broke the woman’s cellphone when she tried to call 911, and acknowledged that the argument was about dinner.Shramek is charged with second-degree domestic assault, a Class D felony. He is free on a $5,000 surety bond, and had an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 10 at the Warren County Circuit Court.Domestic assault
