To The Editor:I hate to admit it, but those who support (abortion rights) have given the best (anti-abortion rights) quotes. This one is from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-D): “As we pass the Senate bill, we will do so with a battle cry as to how we go forward to protect children in a way that truly honors their dignity and worth.”I agree with these words that children should be honored with dignity and worth. But in the mind of AOC, unborn children are not deserving of that same dignity and worth, maybe because she couldn’t get their vote for the next 18 years. I will spare you details, but is there any dignity or worth afforded a baby in her mother’s womb during an abortion?The next quotes come from the 2019 Democratic Party Platform: “We will end the school-to-prison pipeline and build a cradle-to-college pipeline instead, where every child can live up to his or her God-given potential.”Apparently, Democrats believe that everyone deserves the chance to live up to his or her God-given potential. Apparently they believe the world will be more secure, stable and peaceful when all people are able to reach their God-given potential and live in freedom and dignity.While the Democrats were attending their last convention, they evidently were not thinking of their own words as they were cheering Planned Parenthood on stage. No group has ever destroyed more God-given potential than Planned Parenthood. Those children in the Democrats’ cradle-to-college pipeline have the same potential they had while they were in the womb. They have a chance to live out their God-given potential, while millions of unborn babies had their God-given potential taken from them by abortion.Please reject this phony “dignity and worth” battle cry and uphold the dignity, worth and God-given potential of every human life from conception to natural death.Clif EhlenWarrenton
