Deutschmann elected to NECAC board

Tina Deutschmann of Warrenton has been elected to serve as the low-income interest representative from Warren County on the not-for-profit agency’s 36-member volunteer board of directors.“We welcome Tina to the NECAC Board of Directors,” said Don Patrick, NECAC president and chief executive officer. “We look forward to her input on behalf of the people of Warren County.”Deutschmann fills the vacancy and remaining year of a four-year term created by the resignation of Jeff Thomsen of Innsbrook.The NECAC Board of Directors consists of three representatives from each of the 12 counties served. Each county is represented by one public elected official, one civic interest representative and one low-income representative.NECAC is a 12-county area social service, community health and public housing community action agency that contracts with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for-profit organizations to operate and administer self-sufficiency service programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population. The agency’s central administration offices are located in Bowling Green, with NECAC service centers operated in each county.To serve as the Warren County low-income interest representative, Deutschmann was nominated by a low-income resident. She was elected by the NECAC Board at its Jan. 23 meeting. She was officially installed by NECAC Chairman of the Board and Marion County Presiding Commissioner Lyndon Bode during the board’s March 27 meeting.Deutschmann attended McCluer High School in Florissant, St. Charles Community College and United College. She spent 20 years as a medical assistant.The other two NECAC board members from Warren County are Angie Scott as the civic interest representative and Fred Vahle as the public elected official.
