Less than a week remains for candidates to file for local government, school board and emergency service board elections.
The deadline to file for local elected offices is Jan. 21. Elections will be held April 7.
Two candidates joined local government races over the last week. One is a former city official and one is making her second run at office.
Former Marthasville Alderman Christopher DeVore is seeking to return to the city’s board of aldermen representing the city’s Southwest Ward. DeVore was elected to the board in 2016, and missed re-election by a little over 20 votes in 2018.
Current Southwest Ward Alderman Gene Jenkins had not filed for the election as of Tuesday, Jan. 14.
In the village of Innsbrook, Donna West and incumbent Ted Sator have placed their names on the ballot for the board of trustees. That brings the number of candidates to three, seeking two spots on the board.
Former trustee Jerry Rust previously filed for election. Incumbent Tom Stevener had not filed for the election as of Tuesday.
Up for election
Below are the local offices that will be elected in April. Candidate filing is open until Jan. 21.
Warrenton Board of Aldermen — Three seats on the Warrenton Board of Aldermen will be elected, one in each of the city’s three wards.
Warren County R-III School Board — Four seats on school board will be on the ballot. One seat is for a short term to finish the term of the late Allan Dreyer.
Warren County Ambulance Board — The ambulance district for northern Warren County has two board of director seats up for election.
Warren County Emergency Services Board — Four board directors for the county’s 911 dispatch center will be elected.
Wright City Board of Aldermen and Mayor — The offices of mayor and two aldermen (one in each city ward), are up for election.
Wright City R-II School Board — Three school board members will be elected in April.
Wright City Fire Board — One position on the board of directors for Wright City Fire will be up for election.
Marthasville Board of Aldermen — Two aldermen will be elected in April, representing the city’s eastern and western wards.
Marthasville Ambulance Board — Two positions on the ambulance district’s board of directors will be on the ballot.
Marthasville Fire Board — One seat is available on the fire district’s board of directors.
Truesdale Board of Aldermen — Two aldermen will be elected to the Truesdale board.
Innsbrook Board of Trustees — Two positions on the village’s board of trustees will be on the ballot.
