The deadline for residents to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote Tuesday, Aug. 2 is July 6.Warren County residents who are not registered voters can register at the county clerk’s office, at the Administration Building, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Suite 303, Warrenton, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Registered voters who have changed their address must also update their registrations. Information on voter registration can be obtained by calling the county clerk’s office at 636 456-3331. Please be advised that due to law changes, voters at the polling places, on election day, will be asked to supply identification before being able to cast their vote.A few things to remember before registering to vote:1. If you have moved to Warren County from another county, you must register to vote in Warren County in order to be able to vote.2. If you have moved to Warren County from another state, you must register to vote in Warren County in order to be able to vote.3. If you cannot remember if you are registered to vote in Warren County, please call the office, but remember there are deadlines in order to register and be able to vote. That deadline before any election is roughly three weeks prior to the election, so please call ahead of the deadline to check and avoid problems later.4. You can register to vote in person at the office, register by mail or go online to the Missouri Secretary of State’s Office website, (www.sos.mo.gov) to register. You may call to have a registration card mailed to you, but you must fill it out and send it back before the deadline in order to vote.5. Cards to remind you of an election are not sent out. It is your responsibility to watch the local paper (Warren County Record) so you will know when the election is, where to go to vote and what is being voted on in a particular election or go to the Warren County website (www.warrencountymo.org), under the news tab.6. Is is also imperative that each voter keep his or her voter registration current. If you have moved form one address to another address in Warren County, you must register that change to be able to vote. You can do that by coming into the office and making that change, or writing your new address on the back of your voter identification card and mailing it back to our office so a new ID card can be mailed. Also, please remember to do this well in advance of the election in order for things to run smoothly on election day.7. The deadline to register to vote for the August 2 primary election is July 6. The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 8 general election is Oct. 12.Vote
