What school activities are you involved in?
“I play volleyball, I was in drama for three years and I’m in StuCo.”
Tell me about your experience in drama
“I took drama my freshman year and the teacher thought she could use some extra help in the class, so she put me in there. My second year in the club I was the host of the show and this year, I was in the play.”
What show were you the host of?
“It was a murder mystery dinner type of thing – it was super fun.”
What were your responsibilities as a host?
“I would lead the crowd through each scene and keep them engaged and keep things fun.”
What part did you have in the play this year?
“I was only in one scene because that’s all she needed, but I was the mother of my daughter in our play “Parents just don’t understand.” (In the play), it was my daughter’s 16th birthday and my role was to ruin it for her pretty much.”
What’s it like being on stage?
“I think it’s super fun. This year, I didn’t get a lot of practice being on stage since I wasn’t in the class. Sometimes, people will get stage fright but I don’t really get that unless I forget my lines.”
What’s your role in StuCo?
“I was just a member in StuCo, but I would help plan things out, like homecoming and help pick the theme and plan the decorations.”
What have you learned through being a part of various clubs and activities?
“I’ve learned just to have fun. Whenever you take it too seriously, you just perform worse. When I have fun, that’s really all that matters.”
Do you typically like taking on more of a leadership role?
“Yes, I do. I love it and I learned a lot from it. It’s relatively new to me but I feel that I’ve grown a lot since.”
What are some other passions of yours?
“I’m really passionate about health and fitness. I like to wake up early and go to the gym before work and school. I’m very passionate about Jesus and I’m really involved with the youth group as a leader there. I also work as a lifeguard and teach swim lessons at the Warrenton Aquatic Center.”
What are your hopes for your senior year?
“I want to keep doing better than I did the year before, have fun, make some memories and represent LCA the best way I can.”
