Dare to Excel: Ella Deane

Posted
School Activity:
I am involved in StuCo, where I have the opportunity to be a voice for the student body and help make my school a better place for everyone.  I also serve as a manager for the track and field teams.
School: Liberty Christian Academy

Grade:
12th Grade

Favorite Subject:
My favorite subject is Biology because I enjoy learning about God's creation and how it works, and I especially love getting the opportunity to dissect things and learn through hands-on experiences.

If you could visit one place in the world, where would it be and why?
If I could visit anywhere in the world, I would choose France. I have always dreamed of going there ever since I was a little girl, so being able to experience the culture, history, and beauty of the country would be very special to me.

Who do you look up to?
One person I really look up to is one of my former teachers, Dr. Moehl. She is such an outgoing and genuine woman of Christ, and I admire the way she lives out her faith while encouraging the people around her. I hope to grow into someone who can have the same kind of positive influence on others.

How do you manage your time with all your activities?
Time management is something I struggle with at times but I always try to take one step at a time and trust that everything will work out according to God's Will. I have learned that I don't have to have everything figured out all at once, and trusting God can help me stay focused when life gets busy.

What do you love about school?
One thing I love about my school is knowing that I can always go to my teachers when I need help. They are there for me not only academically, but spiritually as well, and I really appreciate having teachers who generally care about me and my growth.

What is something you are proud of accomplishing this year?
One thing I am especially proud of accomplishing this year is reaching senior year and getting closer to graduating.  I will also graduate with a semester's worth of credits from Missouri Baptist University due to the dual-enrollment classes we offer at LCA.

Which class or activity has inspired you the most, and why?
Career Exploration in 7th grade with Mr. Spencer has probably inspired me the most. That class helped me grow tremendously and opened my eyes to the real world even at such a young age. It helped me begin thinking about the responsibilities and decisions that would come with becoming an adult and starting my own journey in life.

What activities are you the most passionate about?
One of the things I am most passionate about is sharing God's Word and showing His love to the people around me. My faith has had such an important impact on my life, and I want others to experience that same hope and love. I hope that through the way I live and treat others, I can be a reflection of Christ and encourage those around me to do the same.
